Another good podcast. Will have to disagree about the dogs. I did think people were full of what seems to be a fake outrage with M. Vick getting out of jail. They probably wouldn’t be happy if Vick was in a cage grudge match with 3 pit bulls. At any rate, if jails was his punishment, then he’s done his time.
I never owned a pet before 2 years ago, and thought as you did, how come people get so emotional over animals and when they died I figured you could just replace it like a scratched CD. Although I try to keep the proper perspective in that my dog is not a person, nor a surrogate child to be spoiled, there is something to be said for the unspoken bond that grows between a person and pet. She’s part of the family.
I couldn’t keep my comment brief…
We could go on and on about conflicting values among those who are aggressive with their moral certitude…
Against government intervention in private life and against gay marriage.
Sending soldiers off to war and denying them mental health care when they come back.
And yeah, cruelty and neglect are hallmarks of our society, from animal to human.
You know, let me just focus on these tunes before my blood pressure acts up. Dunno if I’ll have health care, gotta stay calm.
As much as I love animals, I’m not the one to trip about Vick’s return. He paid his debt to society according to the justice system.
What about that bamma running around spreading herpes because he “doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it” doe? But that’s another issue.

also, there’s indians living in the amazon forest that capture some of the animals surrounding them to turn them into pets….so pets being for the wealthy, that’s obviously just your point of view…

I don’t agree with the whole $5000 limit on child support argument.
Why doesn’t my child that me and my husband/mate decided to have together not deserve to live the lifestyle that they were living prior to our seperation?
If, when we were together, my child was going to an exspensive school why because we’re no longer together does he not deserve that same privilage?
My child didn’t say mommy and daddy I want yall to get divorced (or whatever the case may be) and let me now make some sacrifices so my dad wont have to pay no more than $5000 a month for my well being.
Mothers don’t make kids alone and there are ALL kinds of protection out here so “unwanted” kids aren’t made and not only should a woman be held responsible so should a man who is the other factor since we can’t do the shit alone.
That amount is just rediculous in some cases!
The more money you make the better your situation becomes and the better your child’s situation should become.
It’s not right for mommy to go from $60,000 a year to $500,000 a year and hoard all the money to herself simply because my child can “live” off of what mommy was doing when she was making $60,000. That’s selfish as well as rediculous! Kids don’t ask to be here and it’s you’re responsibility to take care of them and being stingy is not the way to go, just cause you can. If my funds increase to that kind of money I’m no longer living in the “hood”, I’m now living in a nice suburb, that costs more! My child isn’t staying behind because it’s “livable”. That’s insane!
Now that I’ve said all that I’m not a fan of Kelis and what she’s doing to Nas! Not letting that man see his child born was rediculous to me. It’s not just about you Kelis…it’s not! SMH

I think you truly don’t get into dogs b/c you didn’t grow up with one. Its just like Dudes that don’t grow up with sisters and don’t understand why the brother of a girl he’s fucking don’t like him.
Now I don’t agree with all the bullshit about people throwing a hissy fit about him getting the chance to play again. Your right though, apply the hostility to people who kill other people. Don’t lose you mind about Vick, but then have sympathy for damn Stallworth who ran a man over and thinks he should get off because he waited for police.
If anything, I think that the NFL should come up with a clause that says that if you get convicted of A FELONY during your instatement in the league, you should be kicked out. No warnings, nothing.
